The Mountain

Snowmass Mountain has more than 3,000 acres of the best family skiing anywhere. There is a ski run for every ability and type of skiing - cruisers, steeps, terrain parks and halfpipes.

Of the over 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, 55% is intermediate, 38% is advanced intermediate, 20% is expert and 7% is beginner. The trails are wide, well-groomed and provide spectacular scenery. Particularly from the top of the mountain, where there are many intermediate runs the whole family can enjoy, the view of the Rocky Mountains while skiing alongside a mixture of evergreen and aspen trees provides unparalleled beauty.

The elevation of Snowmass Mountain is 8,000 feet at the base with a peak reaching 14,092 feet. The longest run at Snowmass Mountain is over 5 miles of beautiful scenery.

The lifts open at 9:00 a.m., except for the main lift, Fanny Hill, which opens at 8:30 a.m., and run continuously through approximately 3:30 p.m. each day.
